Classical Equitation with Craig Stevens
Craig has spent 20 years studying with the French masters at Samur in France, his methods are 18th centure when Equitation was considered an art form. The horses are trained by learning to balance and be in self carriage, and no restraints or force is used.

Working with Craig, it's the quality of each moment with the horse, not just the movement produced, that is most of interest. As the rider develops the understanding and ability to communicate more clearly, the movements improve-- but rather than learning tricks to mask mistakes, riders learn what they are doing that is producing the mistake and how to ride with such clarity that the movements become fluid, light, and precise. Craig's methods produce, very quickly and without abuse, a calm, willing, responsive horse interested in engaging in a conversation with his rider. Horse owners are in training right along with their mount, learning to maintain a conversation sustainable after the horse leaves.

Date:

May 16 - 18th,
Next Clinics are on:
July 11 -13th, September 26 - 28th, November 14 - 16th 2008.

Facilitator:

Craig Stevens An international clinician, Craig has been recognized by the Swedish Dressage Foundation, and teaches 6 months of the year in Europe, France and England. Students come from all over the world to ride with this master at his centre in Snohomish, Washington. Craig is endorsed by Philippe Karl, the French classical master, and by natural horsemanship clinician and trainer, Ed Dabney, who is gaining national prominance in the US. Professor Invgar Fredricson, head of Flyinge (the Swedish National Stud) from 1983 to 1998 appreciates his decades of study, and refers to Craig as an American scholar of the horse. Dag Nätterqvist ("Dadde") the Swedish Olympic jumping star as well as a prominent teacher remembered for his years teaching at Strömsholm - the Swedish National Riding School, said " Craig Stevens is the first really good riding teacher to teach dressage in Sweden since the 1950´s. "It's not unusual to hear Craig explain an equine movement in musical terms, or the horse-human relationship in romantic ones. It's a language of touch, he points out, where one animal desires to engage the mind of the other, and the closest metaphors are based in the sensual, tactile language that we use when we're flirting. Craig Stevens and the staff at the Park Lane Equestrian Centre, welcome you to join us in studying the art, science, theory and play of classical equitation.

Cranio Sacral Reflexology - Basic
with Dr. Martine Faure-Alderson
Introduction, Embryology/CNS/Automatic Nervous System,
Cranial Movement/Membranes/Lesions of CRI, CSF Fluid,
General Cranio Sacral Treatment, The Cranial Nerves.

Cranio Sacral Reflexology with Dr.Martine Faure-AldersonCranio sacral is the name given to the approach to osteopathy developed by Dr Sutherland 100 years ago. He saw how the bone structure of the skull permitted slight motion and noted that restriction of normal motion due to injury, trauma or disease could affect health. The cranial osteopath works gently with the bones in the skull and associated bodily systems to remedy such conditions. The Reflexologist can achieve the same result by combining an understanding of cranio-sacral therapy with conventional reflexology, since the bones of the feet reflect the skull and sacrum exactly.
The body’s inner health is perceived through a gentle pulse called the CSRI. It arises at the core of the body within the brain and spinal cord and the fluid, which surrounds them. It is a tide-like rhythm, which expresses itself throughout all of the body. Areas of congestion and restriction in function of any part of the body can be felt as an imbalance in its motion and treated.
A reflexologist has a highly developed sense of palpation and is trained to detect and assess the dynamic state of the body tissues;’ Both within the feet and the rest of the body. By using the gentle techniques of Cranio-Sacral Reflexology” the practitioner is able to release the strain patterns found and support the body in its attempt to retum to an ideal state of balance and function for healing to progress.
Cranio-Sacral Reflexology is suitable for everyone, from newborn babies to the elderly including those with fragile and acute medical conditions:
CranioSacral_Reflexology_CanadaBaby and Infant Conditions, Colic, sucking difficulties, reflux Premature babiesRecurrent ear and throat infections-Irritability, insomnia, excess crying,-Development and behavioural delay/ disorders, Poor eye coordination, Difficulties in turning the head Birth trauma, Adult General Trauma and Conditions, - Sinusitis, Stress related illness, Jaw disorders, Bronchitis and Asthma, Insomnia, Depression, Migraine, Tinnitus, Back, shoulder and neck pain, Whiplash, and sports injuries.

Date:

November 13 & 14 , 2008 - Thursday & Friday ( new date)

See Reflexology page for details on Advance course November 15 & 16th

Facilitator:

Mrs Martine Faure Alderson is a fully qualified Osteopath with 40 years experience in private practice. In addition, in 1970, Mrs Alderson was awarded a Doctorate in Homeopathy and General Medicine. She is also qualified in Acupuncture, Herbal Medecine and Reflexology.
She has a school in Paris and has taught Postgraduate students of reflexology since 1968. She holds her seminars throughout Europe and teaches in America, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
"I am please to offer an unique clinical reflexology course on the cranial-sacral system. This course enables the reflexologist to enhance the circulation in the head and the cranial organs through treatment of the feet. The cerebro spinal fluid (CSF) is treated, stimulated and transported to all parts of the body and the 12 cranial nerves are treated individually, following a special technique via the autonomic nervous system. These techniques are also extremely useful to help stress and whiplash injuries and can be added at the end of a conventional treatment."
