Soular Rhythms for 2016
As we start the new year we invite you to read your Soular Rhythms for the Year for 2016 by our Astrolger/Numerologist and a popular columnist Michael O’Connor - for Overview for all signs - See below

Michael shares with us about how 2016 will prove to be a pivotal year for everyone. A Universal 9-Year, it will generally include themes of ending, completion and graduation in preparation for major new initiatives in 2017. 9-Years can be compared to late autumn when the garden is put to rest for the winter and when bulbs are planted which symbolize long-term plans and commitments. At a collective level, the international agreement to reduce fossil fuels at the Climate Summit in Paris provides a good example of this preliminary process. The implications of this global goal will begin to take root in 2016 yet will likely take until 2017 to begin to be literally evident. Measurable changes socially, politically and economically linked to environmental concerns will remain at the forefront in the news. This background influence will also naturally have repercussions for us all at personal levels. The sign entries below in the eMagazine in our Soular Rhythm's Column provide a summary of some of the core themes we each can expect in 2016.

New! Penticton Wellness Fair
OK In Health and the producers of the Vernon and Kelowna Wellness show are so excited to announce we are teaming up together to produce the 1st annual Penticton Wellness Fair on October 29/30. 2016.
Registration is now open to all our OK In Health members so they can avail of the booth of their choice.

The Penticton Wellness Fair will follow the weekend after the Kelowna Fair giving out of town vendors an opportunity to teach or enjoy the Okanagan valley in the week days in between.
Discount Hotel rooms available - Ask Maria.

Black Bean Hummus

Description:
Instead of chickpeas, you can use black beans to make this Middle Eastern dip. And for a bit of extra flavor, stir in jalapeño pepper and lime juice. The black bean's fiber, potassium, folate, vitamin B6 and phytonutrient content, coupled with its lack of cholesterol, all support heart health. The fiber in black beans helps lower the total amount of cholesterol in the blood and decrease the risk of heart disease

Cauliflower Cheesy Biscuits

Description:
Perfectly-portioned, and entirely gluten-free, these cheesy bites have less than 25 calories per biscuit. They might be small, but they bring a burst of garlicky-cheddar flavor every time you pop them in your mouth. You can serve them as your “bread basket” before dinner or on a platter for a fun appetizer. Think back on the days of the restaurant bread basket—endless amounts of bread with butter or olive oil delivered to your table as soon as you sat down. I have to admit; I miss the days of free biscuits, bread sticks and all other carb-heavy appetizers so now we have a new option.

Raw Chocolate Raspberry Slice

Description:
These raw chocolate-raspberry brownie bars are at the top of my dessert list, but I always say that when I make a new dessert! I love finding flavors that work well together, and this classic pairing of chocolate and raspberry is perfect. The layers of this recipe work so well together; the chocolate nut base has the perfect crunch to it, the raspberry layer is soft and sweet and the chocolate layer will leave you wanting more. Red Raspberries contain strong antioxidants such as Vitamin C, quercetin and gallic acid that fight against cancer, heart and circulatory disease and age-related decline. They are high in ellagic acid, a known chemopreventative, and have been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. They are also a very good source of copper and a good source of vitamin K, pantothenic acid, biotin, vitamin E, magnesium, folate, omega-3 fatty acids, and potassium.

QUESTION:
My daughter is having three wisdom teeth taken out in January. Do you have any suggestions for a speedy recover?

ANSWER:
Ice helps and rest.
Arnica Montana – This one is generally referred to, simply, as Arnica. It is one of the most effective remedies for strains, sprains and injury. (I gave an extract to my daughter when she had her wisdom teeth removed and she experienced very little discomfort.) Athletes use copious amounts of it, generally in a cream or ointment, to help with their muscle aches and strains. You can also find it in tablet or liquid form.

The PARABLES OF KRYON by Lee Carroll, Kryon

A selection of parables offering a source of reflection. Each story is filled with deeper meanings and serves to illustrate a lesson or moral.

Reviews:

Taneka
It took me a while to finish this book. Each story seems to have touched me in one way or another. I saw myself many times in its' pages. This is my first time reading a book from Kryon and I cannot wait to find more information about the entity.

Victoria
A quick read, 'greatest hits' collection of parables Kryon refers to often.

Annette
I enjoyed this book but didn't find it as transforming as his book "The Journey Home" which was my favorite.

Brenda
I liked the Parables. I related most to Marla the mouse.

Wanna hear first hand feedback from past trip members?
Check out the following testimonials from people who have been on our
2013 and 2014 Celtic Angel Sacred tour to Ireland each March.

“I would highly recommend this Celtic Angel tour & the people who organized it were amazing. The people on the trip are now family and it was so hard to leave. I so want to go on another one! A big thanks you to Cindy and Maria and everyone who assisted us along the way. I especially like the sheep, handing candy to the kids in the St. Patrick’s day parade, the scenery and views, Maria’s family and the bus driver was so informative and friendly. I give this tour 10 out of 10” - Theresa

"One of the reasons that I wanted to go on the tour was to reclaim my energy and my connection to my angels and guides. I've been less active in the energy healing field - and I was much in need of recharging. I definitely found that on our tour! In fact, the minute we arrived in Ireland I felt great - and between Cindy's course, visits with Maria, that first visit to the church in Cork, the stone circle and the sisterhood visit to the island, I was back to being me and being in touch. Those were the memorable spiritual moments for me. The rest was wonderful - cutting cords, talking to the Archangels, trusting my intuition again, a different way of clearing chakras. Cindy's course was great! And of course I enjoyed the countryside and the bus tours and the commeraderie around our tables at the pub was great. A long time since I've had so much fun. Ireland was absolutely wonderful. Maria did a fabulous job as tour director. The tour group didn't have to do any thinking or planning - just go! I loved everything about Ireland - the people and their sense of humour, the Irish music and glorious scenery and old buildings and rock walls and sheep and on and on." Dianne

“What can I say except everything was way beyond my expectations” - Carol

“This Tour has been so amazing on so many levels. I’ve experienced feelings, emotions, connections that I never thought possible – Normally only other people get it and not me. I was coached in an easy to grasp concept by Cindy of how to connect with my angel team and how to use them to help me on my path. Visiting the stone circles and all that Ireland has to offer as well as Maria and her Family has made the whole trip magical. One trip I will never forget. Thank you” – From Cindy W.

"From the moment of landing until your last day your trip will be a remarkable adventure . Whether you are a seasoned traveler who usually makes all their own arrangements or a beginning world explorer you will appreciate the care and detailed arrangements that Maria makes in preparation for the trip and during your days of travel. There is so much to see in Ireland and Maria manages to squeeze in an amazing variety of engaging experiences: historic sites, sacred circles, breathtaking landscapes, cityscapes, shops, galleries, museums, pubs! Places to linger all day or evening. Food of course is important. While on the road Maria finds interesting stops for delicious and always too plentiful amounts of food. Evening group dinners will be a highlight. It is a jam packed trip. With Maria's sense of humour even the road touring experience in the green Paddy bus is a delightful experience. Bring your wellies!" Dawn

I was very appreciative of Maria's knowledge of the area and Cindy as an amazing teacher. We had so much fun - Anonymous.

I have had the time of my life. Hugh growth! Thank you for the help I needed to get where I needed to go on my journey. I really enjoyed the energy from the people and I wouldn’t change a thing on our tour – Colleen

Wonderful holiday. Loved the organizing of you both and your great energy. Maria was always around to help or guide us. Our bus driver Mike was so special. The day tours were wonderful. Thank you both – Rosie

Amazing organizing – met great people on the tour and from Ireland – Great Course - bus drivers were so personal, so much personality, excellent – I loved been off the beaten track – Fabulous holiday, wish we had more time there – Anonymous

The best was being in the energy, being with like minded people. The surprises were a wonderful bonus. Some hotels have no facecloths in Ireland. All in all a wonderful experience and well worth it – Anonymous

10+ for value for this tour and organizing. This was a fabulous experience – Anonymous

'Spiritual Wisdom' of the Feminine Divine by Monika Muranyi

Drugs verses Nature for the Treatment of Heart Disease - Part Three by Dr. Tamara Browne
Although sometimes life-saving and necessary, certain drugs used commonly to treat heart disease may be more risky than you are lead to believe. Honouring our Ancestors by Monika Muranyi
In many places across the world, ancestor acknowledgment is an integral part of social and religious life. Nearly every indigenous culture honors their ancestors, and ancestral spirits are a part of everything that they do. They give great honor to their deceased forebears, the same as the grandmothers and grandfathers did before them. They understand that their ancestors have a vast wealth of wisdom and knowledge, available to us in the moment that we choose to ask.
How to Avoid Genetically Modified Foods by OK In Health's Articles
Genetically modified(GM) foods - are they safe or harmful? While regulatory authorities have approved GM food that is on the market, some people are concerned that there is risk of harm. Most foods we eat may contain ingredients derived from genetically modified organisms (GMOs). If you live in Europe, avoiding GM foods is easier since laws require labeling. In the US and Canada, however, food manufacturers are not required to label if their food is genetically modified or not. Here are some guidelines for steering clear of GM foods in your diet, if that is your choice....

Do you love Celtic & Fiddle Music?
Canadian Ron MacInnis is producing a film about the Celtic spirit and the music of Cape Breton. If might find this interesting given that this film not only celebrates the return of a vanishing Celtic culture, but delves into matters of the deeply positive effect of music on Celtic spirit, and the ensuing effect on personal well being, families and social fabric.  A quick overview of the program is at vanishingfiddler.com   There is video here of the original program, done in 1972 plus a description of the upcoming program.
