Publisher's Message ~ December 2015 Issue

Greetings OK In Health Members,

This month we want to focus on LOVE and not Fear. With every decision we make in our daily lives we really only have two choices: Love or Fear.
Love casts out fear. Here are some of my favourite quotes:

Hate is not conquered by hate: hate is conquered by love. This is a law eternal. -- Buddha

Love -- giving and receiving from the heart -- involves ... peace ... - Richard Carlson

The world is too dangerous for anything but truth and too small for anything but love. - William Sloane Coffin

In our imaginations we believe that love is apart from us. Actually there is nothing but love, once we are ready to accept it. When you truly find love, you find yourself. - Deepak Chopra

We end with the message that my son gave at his elementary Graduation...

"Love Your Self - Love Your Neighbour - Love Your Planet"

Free Meditation Gift from Cindy Smith For the holidays Cindy Smith has a gift for the OK In Health members of a free Meditation gift - Thanks Cindy Click Here

Crystal Forest Video
Here is a short video of one of my favourite places to connect to LOVE and mother earth's loving energy that is within us and within our planet. It is in Ireland in a place called Glendalough, in the hidden Crystal Forest above the waterfall. It is also a healing fairy place too.   -

'Avoiding Christmas Chaos' - Cathy Lauer

Navigating the Christmas Party scene while remaining gluten free- Whether it’s your first or twenty first Christmas eating gluten free there are always things that come up at this time of year that require a little preplanning. School Christmas parties, cookie exchanges and workplace staff Christmas parties are being booked and menus decided. How will you navigate your way successfully through this season while keeping to your gluten free diet?

’Tis a Grand Soft Day, Thank God' - Maria O'Farrell Carr

We had a yellow alert in Ireland in November 2015 due to storm Barney and my sister Roisin came across this explanation of Irish rain which i just loved. If you live in Ireland or have visited you’ll know what Colm Toibin is writing about here. If you live in Texas this will most likely be new to you! ‘If the Inuits have fifty words for snow, the Irish have about a hundred variations of ‘Shite, I’m after getting soaked’.

'What is Channelling?' -  Monika Muranyi

Channelling is often misunderstood as something weird or spooky, mainly done by psychics or mediums, where an entity “takes over” the body of the channeller. There are some who even consider channelling to be evil. However if we look at one of the definitions for channelling, it simply represents the divine, inspired words (or energy) of God, as imparted by humans to humans. It’s much more common than what you may have been told!

'All That Glitters… May Well be Silver' - David Dixon
There are multitudes of claims for colloidal silver and often it’s very difficult to separate fact from fantasy. Dr. Carl Moyer, chairman of Washington University’s Department of Surgery said that, “Silver is the best all-around germ fighter we have.”

Irish Soda Brown Bread (No Yeast)

Description:
Baking is back and everyone wants a slice. The truth is, though, that in some parts of the world, baking never went away. In some parts of the world, long walks end in buttered brown bread and huge mugs of tea. In some parts of the world, smoked salmon must be eaten with an oven-fresh loaf and a squeeze of lemon. We happen to know where that part of the world is. The Food Revolution sped through Ireland and its legacy is a tasty one. Foraging is a food trend favourite and Burren Lamb is gracing plates from Clare to Canberra. Galway and Louth oysters are making their way steadily up the list of most delicious delicacies, and cafés have embraced the cappuccino as a long lost beverage brother. In short, Ireland is tasty. But no matter how funky food gets or how innovative chefs become, a country should always save space for the classics. In Ireland’s case, that classic is Soda Bread. Baked is beautiful “People are waking up to the smell of real bread again – I’m thrilled and delighted.” “When you think about it – it’s a complex carbohydrate, it’s full of fibre, and it keeps you full for much longer than a slice of processed white bread would. It’s also seriously delicious.”

Coconut Cauliflower Turmeric Rice

Description:
One of the best things about Winter is the food, hands down. After a summer of grillin' and chillin', I am feeling a strong call from my stove - it's lonely, it needs some loving. Cauliflower rice totally rocks as an alternative to grains, but what if we could kick it up a notch, maybe give it a little Indian/Thai flavor so that is pairs perfectly with curried chicken and veggies? The answer lies below (and it's delicious). In addition to being a super low-carb version of a pantry staple, cauliflower is packed with Fiber, Vitamin C, Magnesium, and Vitamin B-6. Even though coconut milk and coconut oil are high in fat, it's the best kind of fat out there. Also, coconut has a plethora of health and beauty benefits including a slimmer waistline, shinier hair, and clear, luminous skin. As a bonus, the cardamom in this dish has detoxifying and anti-inflammatory properties.

Slow Cooker Coconut Chicken Curry ( Gluten & Dairy-free)

Description:
Breaking out the trusted slow cooker is a ritual that makes me tingly all over. Cozy nights filled with nourishing, hearty dishes are the best way to to survive and thrive through the winter. Since this tends to be a hectic time of year, the convenience of cooking once and eating two or three (or four) times is not just helpful, it's downright necessary. Save yourself from succumbing to the take-out routine and make some curry instead. I absolutely love this dish because it is delicious and nutritious. There are so many health benefits in here I don't even know where to begin. This curry contains a nice dose of Turmeric, which is a natural anti-inflammatoy and has been linked to improved cognitive function. The coconut oil and coconut milk are great sources of healthy fats. You'll get a heaping helping of protein from the chicken and almonds, plus the cleansing benefits of cilantro. Yum.

Question:

I am travelling for Christmas by car and ferry and suffer from motion sickness. Is there anything that I might try that may help me that is natural?

Answer:

Ginger – Motion sickness or travel sickness can be no fun! Try grating a little ginger (or putting a few drops of liquid extract) into a glass of water or your water bottle. Add a few shakes of cayenne pepper, if you are daring. Drink it down and notice just how quickly your unhappy tummy begins to smile, once again. It’s also very good for morning sickness and is one of the few herbs safe to take during pregnancy.
Keep your eyes out the window and not in a book as reading can also be a trigger.

The PARABLES OF KRYON by Lee Carroll, Kryon

A selection of parables offering a source of reflection. Each story is filled with deeper meanings and serves to illustrate a lesson or moral.

Reviews:

Taneka
It took me a while to finish this book. Each story seems to have touched me in one way or another. I saw myself many times in its' pages. This is my first time reading a book from Kryon and I cannot wait to find more information about the entity.

Victoria
A quick read, 'greatest hits' collection of parables Kryon refers to often.

Annette
I enjoyed this book but didn't find it as transforming as his book "The Journey Home" which was my favorite.

Brenda
I liked the Parables. I related most to Marla the mouse.

Wanna hear first hand feedback from past trip members?
Check out the following testimonials from people who have been on our
2013 and 2014 Celtic Angel Sacred tour to Ireland each March.

“I would highly recommend this Celtic Angel tour & the people who organized it were amazing. The people on the trip are now family and it was so hard to leave. I so want to go on another one! A big thanks you to Cindy and Maria and everyone who assisted us along the way. I especially like the sheep, handing candy to the kids in the St. Patrick’s day parade, the scenery and views, Maria’s family and the bus driver was so informative and friendly. I give this tour 10 out of 10” - Theresa

"One of the reasons that I wanted to go on the tour was to reclaim my energy and my connection to my angels and guides. I've been less active in the energy healing field - and I was much in need of recharging. I definitely found that on our tour! In fact, the minute we arrived in Ireland I felt great - and between Cindy's course, visits with Maria, that first visit to the church in Cork, the stone circle and the sisterhood visit to the island, I was back to being me and being in touch. Those were the memorable spiritual moments for me. The rest was wonderful - cutting cords, talking to the Archangels, trusting my intuition again, a different way of clearing chakras. Cindy's course was great! And of course I enjoyed the countryside and the bus tours and the commeraderie around our tables at the pub was great. A long time since I've had so much fun. Ireland was absolutely wonderful. Maria did a fabulous job as tour director. The tour group didn't have to do any thinking or planning - just go! I loved everything about Ireland - the people and their sense of humour, the Irish music and glorious scenery and old buildings and rock walls and sheep and on and on." Dianne

“What can I say except everything was way beyond my expectations” - Carol

“This Tour has been so amazing on so many levels. I’ve experienced feelings, emotions, connections that I never thought possible – Normally only other people get it and not me. I was coached in an easy to grasp concept by Cindy of how to connect with my angel team and how to use them to help me on my path. Visiting the stone circles and all that Ireland has to offer as well as Maria and her Family has made the whole trip magical. One trip I will never forget. Thank you” – From Cindy W.

"From the moment of landing until your last day your trip will be a remarkable adventure . Whether you are a seasoned traveler who usually makes all their own arrangements or a beginning world explorer you will appreciate the care and detailed arrangements that Maria makes in preparation for the trip and during your days of travel. There is so much to see in Ireland and Maria manages to squeeze in an amazing variety of engaging experiences: historic sites, sacred circles, breathtaking landscapes, cityscapes, shops, galleries, museums, pubs! Places to linger all day or evening. Food of course is important. While on the road Maria finds interesting stops for delicious and always too plentiful amounts of food. Evening group dinners will be a highlight. It is a jam packed trip. With Maria's sense of humour even the road touring experience in the green Paddy bus is a delightful experience. Bring your wellies!" Dawn

I was very appreciative of Maria's knowledge of the area and Cindy as an amazing teacher. We had so much fun - Anonymous.

I have had the time of my life. Hugh growth! Thank you for the help I needed to get where I needed to go on my journey. I really enjoyed the energy from the people and I wouldn’t change a thing on our tour – Colleen

Wonderful holiday. Loved the organizing of you both and your great energy. Maria was always around to help or guide us. Our bus driver Mike was so special. The day tours were wonderful. Thank you both – Rosie

Amazing organizing – met great people on the tour and from Ireland – Great Course - bus drivers were so personal, so much personality, excellent – I loved been off the beaten track – Fabulous holiday, wish we had more time there – Anonymous

The best was being in the energy, being with like minded people. The surprises were a wonderful bonus. Some hotels have no facecloths in Ireland. All in all a wonderful experience and well worth it – Anonymous

10+ for value for this tour and organizing. This was a fabulous experience – Anonymous

Although sometimes life-saving and necessary, certain drugs used commonly to treat heart disease may be more risky than you are lead to believe. Natural alternatives by contrast are much safer and carry the added benefit of improving heart and circulatory health. They improve overall health while at the same time preventing heart attacks and stroke (our #1 killers).
