 POLARITY THERAPY AND REFLEXOLOGY INTRODUCTION

Reflexology, commonly known as foot massage, is the art of compression technique on all points of the feet.  The feet hold all the nerve endings of the body. When these nerve endings get stimulated through pressure it improves blood circulation, breaks up toxins and relaxes the body. This technique is 4000 years old but is practiced widely today worldwide. Our feet are bound in shoes the majority of the year, thereby not allowing much needed stimulation to enhance the health of the entire body. A trained Reflexologist assists the body to break up toxins and congestion through stimulating the 'zones' of the feet. Endorphins are released and deep relaxation can be experienced. A relaxed body promotes better health.

Polarity Therapy, founded by Dr. Stone in the 40's, is based on the Vedic approach from India.  Electromagnetic fields surrounding the body can be blocked like a dam which does not permit water to flow. Kirlian photography and bio-feedback have proven these magnetic waves exist.  All dis-ease starts with a positive intention. The mind/body wants to change.  When there is disagreement between mind and body you have a bind.  Muscles tighten, nerves are squeezed, blood flow reduces, lymph circulation is impeded.  Stress then occurs.  Polarity Therapy and Reflexology both work
to reverse these processes and restore the body to a better state of health. Both are complimentary with other types of health care.  Better sleep, relief from headaches, constipation, fibromyalgia, stomach problems, back complaints are some of the symptoms reported to have improvement through these practices.  These techniques combined with diet, herbs, homeopathy, meditation adds to a total approach of a persons well-being.  Reflexologist s/Polarity Therapists are not doctors and cannot make any claims.  It is Nature herself, combined with the work of the practitioners and of the co-operation of the client which allows improved health.  We may want to consider a new approach to add health and happiness to our lives.
